how it works
The river
A Pebbly pool is a river with two banks. Every pebble opens on one, buyers push it toward the other, and whatever they paid stays under the stone until somebody sells into it. Every trade, either way, skips a small cut in ETH. And the stone’s address is known before it is thrown.
On the near bank
Where every pebble opens. Nothing under it yet.
Mid-river
Buyers have pushed the price across. Their ETH is under the stone.
At the far bank
Sold out. The price can only come back from here.
Know your stone before you throw it
A stone's contract address comes from who places it and a salt they choose, nothing else. Ask the bank with the same inputs and it tells you the address before the launch exists.
So the address can be on the poster, in the group and in the bio before anyone can trade it. If somebody else uses the same salt they get a different address; if you use yours twice, the second throw fails rather than landing somewhere new.
Two banks, the same for every pebble
Every pool opens at the near bank: one fixed price, the cheapest a token on Pebbly can be. Its liquidity runs out at the far bank, the dearest.
Between them is the river. A trade can move the price anywhere across it and never beyond either bank; the skip refuses a swap that would try.
The pool's share is bedded
When a pebble is placed, the pool's share of its supply goes in as one position and stays. Nothing in the contracts can take liquidity out of a Pebbly pool: not the placer, not the bank, not the contract that put it there.
The ETH that buyers pay in sits under the stone as a bid that belongs to nobody. Only a sell can take it out, and only by handing stones back.
Every trade skips a cut
A buy skips its cut out of the ETH it throws in. A sell skips it out of the ETH it takes out. The rate is one number, the same for every pool and every trader, and it never changes.
The cut is taken by the Uniswap v4 hook in the pool's key, so a trade through any router pays it the same way. There is no route around it.
Always ETH, always one shore
Every Pebbly pool is ETH against its token, and the cut is taken on the ETH side whichever way a trade runs. It is never taken in the token.
All of it washes up on one shore, an address written into the contracts when they were deployed. There is no setter that could point it anywhere else, and no second fee.
The skipper's log
The toss, the router this site trades through, keeps a log for every wallet that throws through it: how many skips, how much ETH went in and out, and the longest single throw.
It is a record, not a reward. Nothing in the contracts pays anyone for being on it.
Where the figures are
The supply, the split, the two banks and the rate of the cut are constants in the bank’s and the skip’s source. They are not repeated on this site, because a copy can go stale and the original cannot: read them where they bind. The contracts and their addresses are on the Shore.
